Survey Says......

"We surveyed 100 people, top 7 answers are on the board....  Name a popular place where..."

The Family Feud, the game show of all game shows!  I must say it was one of my favorites growing up.  Not only is it entertaining, it also showed how your answers measured up to a list of the most popular answers. When  you think about it, all surveys accomplish this.

Surveys are a big part of market research.  They are the sounding board for marketers in their quest for insight into their customers preferences, industry conditions, trends...  So much can be learned by asking a few questions before you even plan to engage your audience.  On the other side of things, surveys can also be a very effective way to communicate with prospects.  At DMN3 we utilize surveys as part of client strategies  to engage prospects and find out valuble information before marketing to them.  We utilize our findings to determine how we approach sub groups in the future within the list of survey respondents based on their preferences and survey responses.

We also use surveys to understand the industries we focus on for targeting new clients.  Take for example our most recent, The Financial Marketing Benchmark Survey.  We wanted to understand more about the challenges that financial marketers are facing today, as well as understand what media channels are most effective to acquire new customers and open new accounts.  Here is a sample of some of our findings:

So How Did Their Answers Measure Up?
The full survey findings reveal considerable success over the past few years among many financial institutions, even though the economy has been a tough one.  It also indicates a great deal of optimism for the next few years with most most marketers forecasting growth to be in the 1-5% range.

Survey participants will receive the results in the next few weeks in a report titled 2010 Financial Marketing Insights Report.  If you are a financial marketer and were not a participant in the survey, but interested in receiving a copy, please send me an e-mail and I will be sure to add you to the list.

Strategically using surveys as one of your marketing tools can be just as powerful as that last round on the Family Feud, earning your company some FAST MONEY!
